TOGAF Version 9.1 Announced
Version 9.1 of TOGAF has been announced by The Open Group!
This update of TOGAF is of interest to students who have attended Enterprise Architects’ TOGAF 9 training in the past, and those who are planning to attend in future.
Version 9.1 is a minor – but significant – update to TOGAF 9.
What’s New in Version 9.1?
Version 9.1 of TOGAF:
• Places greater emphasis on the business value of TOGAF
• Improves readability and clarity in many areas of the manual
• Fixes minor mistakes identified in TOGAF 9
Do I Need to Re-Take Exams?
Absolutely not! Students who have achieved Open Group Foundation or Certification for TOGAF 9 are not required to re-take further exams or attend further training.
What Do I Need to Know about TOGAF 9.1?
Enterprise Architects will soon make available for download via our website a video advisory for previous attendees of Enterprise Architects TOGAF 9 training. This presentation will explain the most significant changes in TOGAF 9.1. When we have released this presentation, we will advise attendees by email, LinkedIn, and Twitter.

In a recent market survey around priorities, enterprise architects from a broad spectrum of organizations indicated that building out business architecture was an urgent priority. It also highlighted that nearly all EA groups linked the success of enterprise architecture to the effectiveness of their business architecture initiatives and that over 59% of those polled indicated that it was essential to success.
Enterprise Architects, a leading provider of products and services for the architecture industry, has launched the Business Architecture certification curriculum.
Adding to our highly successful Enterprise Architecture curriculum, the Business Architecture curriculum will guide attendees through a series of courses, whereby attendees will learn:
1. How to define business architecture within the context of business and architecture maturity;
2. How to sell business architecture to the sponsors and decision makers in the business;
3. How to build a business architecture capability;

An Introduction to ArchiMate
Enterprise Architects now offers a training course on the ArchiMate Enterprise Architecture modelling standard published by The Open Group.
ArchiMate has emerged as the defacto open enterprise architecture modelling language standard for the development of Enterprise Architecture models, in the same way that UML is the defacto language for modelling solution development and BPMN is the defacto language for modelling business process orchestrations.
ArchiMate has now been adopted by the Open Group and is available alongside TOGAF.
In this training offering, you will learn how to describe the architecture of the enterprise using the ArchiMate framework and language.
All aspects of the ArchiMate 1.0 standard will be discussed in detail. Exercises will use Archi (an open source ArchiMate tool).

Enterprise Architecture Kick-Start Program
The EA Kick-Start Program seeks to inject an EA program into an organization that has limited EA disciplines in place and/or requires a kick-start of their EA program. It combines some of the EA theory from the above courses across an 8 week cycle to develop an actual EA skeleton framework for a company which they can build upon going forward through various iterations.
